Hometown: Wausau and Madison: I was raised in Wausau, then defected from the school system (behind enemy lines) to ROCK down in Madison when I was 16 - until the late "Eighties" then returned to this beautiful area.

Instruments: Electric 6-string, Acoustic guitar, Keyboards, Sequencing, Percussion.

Nicknames: Gunnshy, Gunnshock, Gumby, Gunnaramma, G-Mann, The Lone Gunnman (Yeah that was me in that movie! !), Gunny, Gunneriffic, (Donner, Blitzen, Comet, Cupid), just kidding!

Anyway - just plain Gunn would be fine.

Favorite Bands: Absolutely Def Leppard 1st, then The Jeff Healy Band, Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, Sammy Hagar, very old "Deep Purple. However on every other Wednesday, I gotta hear Tiny Tim, and every third Monday, I gotta have some "Hansen Boys" (just kidding :-).

Favorite Music: I love getting off of the familiar path and feeding my soul with Acoustic guitar instrumentals by various world renown pickers. I also go off into tangents with mellow Jazz Fusion. I like profiling vocalists. Recently, I purchased four Gloria Estefan CD's, and was quite inspired by the emotional expression in her voice (don't get me all teary-eyed now).

Favorite Guitarists: Doyle Dykes, Russ Freeman, Leo Kottke, Chet Atkins, Will Ackerman, Steve Howe, Eddie Van Halen, The old style Jeff Beck and Ritchie Blackmore in the 70's.

Vocal Influences: Ian Gillian, Daryl Hall, Eddie Money, Todd Rundgren, Donald Fagen, and finally in the shower I sing George Thorogood, (I hope that I don't get evicted :-)

Bands Played in: There is not enough space on this page, but here's a few. The Poe Show, Punch, Stilrock, Deuce Coupe, Circus, Super Circus (not an upgrade), The Corvettes, Django, Firebird, The Graham Band, Cryme Inc., Alfalfa Blue Jazz.

Married Status: Not married

First Public Performance: I was 13 in a band, performing with Juniors in High School, traveling from city to city Friday nights,driven by our drummer's parents all over Wisconsin playing at every YWCA Teentown dance.

Hobbies: Songwriting, recording, engineering, sound production, (see my back page for the cd's that I have written\recorded). Photography, working on guitars, camping, ice skating\rollerblading, movies, dancing & grooving getting out to hear a band. Church picnics are also a blast, ( but I lose my friends when I opt for the cakewalk) What?! :-)
